The mission behind the community cabinet is to assist those facing food insecurity with essentials. Many people are struggling to afford the basics in our communities. The cupboard can make food and essentials accessible to anyone, at any time. It is available 24 hours a day. Our team had an amazing time during this build! We experienced new tools, new working mediums, and sharing the excitement of giving to the community. As tradeswomen who are not cabinetmakers, we hit some bumps, changed the design at times, and learned some lessons. It was a great reminder of the capabilities we have when we think creatively and move our hearts through our hands. We express sincere gratitude for the consultation, guidance, and shop use of Paul Roberts, owner of Campbell Mountain Timber and Stone. His kindness and knowledge was instrumental to the success of our first Community Cupboard.

We are able to make our communities stronger, one project at a time. The only way better is together.
